For me, Health and Fitness isn’t just a career, it is a way of life. I have spent over 5 years gaining the highest standard of education in the field graduating from University of Chester in 2011 with a BSc (Hons) Sport and Exercise Science degree specialising in Exercise Physiology and Exercise Nutrition. I didn’t want to be just another generic Personal Trainer fresh off a 12 week PT course. I am absolutely dedicated to ensuring I provide the highest standards in service and quality so my clients can enjoy the rewards of living a healthy lifestyle. I take a great deal of pride in my work and truly believe that the services we offer at Ultimate Fitness Cheshire are the best form of private health care money can buy (Prevention is better than cure right)? This is not Personal Training as you know it. It is so much more.

Having competed in a wide range of sports in my younger days, my journey in fitness began as a result of having too much time on my hands whilst studying for a degree in English Literature over 20 years ago!
My own training has evolved hugely over the years and I have vast personal experience. I have a real passion for hypertrophy training and body-composition manipulation, regularly achieving “stage ready” levels of bodybuilding conditioning.
As I have gotten older (I recently turned 43!) my focus has moved more towards fitness and longevity and endeavouring to remain fit, strong and injury-free. These goals of longevity and wellness also happen to be the core goals and guiding principles of Ultimate Fitness Cheshire, which was a major factor in my decision to join the team.
My personal quest for improved health, wellness and fitness has evolved into a deep-seated passion for helping others achieve their goals. With a Level 3 qualification in Personal Training, I bring a wealth of expertise and enthusiasm to every client with whom I work.

In addition to training “1-2-1” clients, I also structure and deliver Group PT sessions which are a hugely successful component of the broad offering here at Ultimate Fitness Cheshire. I also run the 5 Week Optimisation Courses alongside Mike.
Beyond just exercise, I am committed to educating my clients on the importance of nutrition, recovery, and mindset to ensure adherence and success outside of the gym walls. My goal is to empower you with the tools and knowledge to make sustainable changes that last a lifetime.

Having been a Yo-Yo dieter for many years and quitting smoking I had become increasingly unhappy with my size and lack of fitness. I decided to get back to the gym and attempt to do something about it. It was there that I noticed Mike training others and I thought I would give it a try.
I spoke to Mike in the gym who advised I book a session with him. I felt a little anxious about this as I knew I was out of shape and to be honest was quite embarrassed. I had an initial assessment which immediately put me at ease. After the assessment I was good to go.
